Today Apple released new software updates for some of its products, and this included iOS 9.2 for iPads and iPhones and OS X El Capitan 10.11.2 for their desktop line-up.
And, the new Apple TV 4 also received a new software update, boosting tvOS to version 9.1. This is the first major release for Apple TV 4 and tvOS, and it comes with lots of improvements and small behind-the-scene tweaks.
It was recently discovered that, in a previous beta version of tvOS 9.1, Apple planned to include Siri search via Apple Music; the idea being that Apple TV 4 users would be able to ask Siri to play certain songs via Apple Music. As at today’s date it’s still not known if this new support was included in the final released version.
So, when it comes to what’s included behind-the-scenes, tvOS 9.1 features improvements and tweaks to certain issues which have been discovered in recent betas for the software, including networking and scrolling.
